The goal isn't to give adults all the answers. It's to give them a stronger place to begin.

Hi, I'm Michelle.
For more than a decade, I've worked alongside young children, families, educators, paraprofessionals, and other professionals in early childhood and special education.
Again and again, I've seen caring, capable adults enter complex situations wanting to help—but not always knowing where to begin.
That gap between knowing something and knowing what to do in the moment is where Visual Foundations™ began.
I created VF™ to make good practice easier to understand, easier to remember, and easier to use when a child is right in front of you.
WHAT GUIDES THE WORK
Children aren't problems to be solved.
They're people to be understood.
Behavior can communicate.
Communication doesn't always look like words.
